The Harbour is where the enchanted boats bring first years on the first night. The beach is made of shell and rocks and is scattered with small jetties.

Four long rows of tables split the Great Hall in divisions of the four houses. All meals are eaten here, and the room is transformed for the school's lavish dances.

Where better to look at the stars than at the top of the Astronomy Tower, surrounded by the battlements of the castle. A long spiral staircase from the ground floor leads the way.
